The Delaware Bay has been a fishing mecca for many generations of dedicated fishermen and women.
The Bay is home to Fortescue, the “Weakfish Capital of the World” and crabbing in the Bay’s backwaters rivals crabbing anywhere you can think of!
Though there are wonderful fishing and crabbing opportunities all along the shoreline of the Bay and its tributaries, you may also want to get on the water to catch your limit.
There are several ports where boats are concentrated – some more focused on marinas for private boats and ramps to launch your own; some with boats for hire – either small boats for you to take yourself or head boats to let an experienced Captain take you out.
And for those that enjoy the quiet serenity of the creeks don’t forget kayak and canoe rentals!
