Attractions and points of interest on the Delaware Bayshore are easily accessible from major travel routes.

Bivalve – Home of the Bayshore Center at Bivalve, operators of the historic oystering schooner the A.J. Meerwald and the Delaware Bay Museum and Folk Life Center, as well as the Haskin Shellfish Research Laboratory.

From 47 south, simply bear right when the road splits onto route 347 in Maurice River Township and make a right at the first light onto Mauricetown Crossway Road (649). Cross the bridge into Mauricetown – a tiny hamlet that is brimming with historic, Victorian Era homes – where the road becomes Port Norris-Mauricetown Road; when you come to a stop sign, make a left onto North Avenue. When the road ends, make a right onto Main Street (553) and then a left on High Street. Parking for the schooner and museum is on the left.

Fortescue – Home of world-class fishing, abundant wildlife habitat and uncrowded beaches.

From 47 south, simply bear right when the road splits onto route 347 in Maurice River Township and make a right at the first light onto Mauricetown Crossway Road (649). Cross the bridge into Mauricetown where the road becomes Port Norris-Mauricetown Road; when you come to a stop sign, make a left onto North Avenue. When the road ends, make a right onto Main Street (553) and follow it into Newport (several miles). Make a left on Baptist Road (656) and another left onto Fortescue Road (637) and follow it to the bay!
